AT-KABUL: Ex-President Hamid Karzai strongly denounced terrorist attack on parliament, said a statement from his office on Monday.
Six suicide attackers stormed parliament on Monday. The coordinated attack of the Taliban ended with all attackers killed after several hours of fighting. However, he shows confidence in the security forces as they prevented the attackers from entering the parliament and unleashing casualties inside the Parliament.
Karzai termed the perpetrators as enemies of national sovereignty and development of Afghanistan. He said that the enemy should keep in mind that such attack on governmental institutions cannot do any harm to independence of Afghanistan.
Karzai extended his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and prayed for quick recovery of the wounded.
