KABUL: Former President, Hamid Karzai met the United States Special Envoy for Afghanistan Reconciliation, Zalmay Khalilzad on Monday in Kabul, emphasizing on an immediate end of war in Afghanistan.
“Peace is vital and national hope of every Afghan and their absolute right. The people of Afghanistan want the success of peace talks soon and the process should not face any delays under any excuse,” Karzai told Khalilzad, while the US troops’ general commander Scott Miller was also present.
The former president emphasized on cooperation between the United States and the regional powers for the success of Afghan peace process.
