KABUL: At least three children were killed and four other including two women received injures in a clash between the Afghan security forces and Taliban militants in southeastern Logar province, official said Wednesday.
Provincial Governor’s Spokesman, Dedar Lawang said that the Taliban attacked on security checkpoints on Tuesday night in Dihno village of Mohammad Agha district.
He said that the investigation is under way to find out which side had inflicted the casualty on civilians.
“During clash between the militants and security forces, a mortar was fired and hit our home, killing three children and four others,” said Sidiqullah, a resident of the village.
The Taliban militants have not expressed any remarks in regards so far.
This comes as earlier the residents of Mohammad Agha district have closed numerous schools due to threats pose the students due to ongoing clashes between the security forces and militants.
