“Taliban’s barbarism is at its apex as a 13-year old boy burnt to death in this incident,” says a resident
AT Monitoring Desk-KABUL: Officials say that the Taliban insurgents set five houses of civilians ablaze in the Chak district of central Maidan Wardak province on Tuesday.
Governor Spokesman, Attaullah Khogyani, said the incident took place late on Monday in the Ala-i-Sang locality where the Taliban insurgents put the houses of civilians on fire. He said security forces have been deployed at the locality and a fierce gun battled has started between the security and the militants where one insurgent was killed and three other received injuries.
Four security forces also sustained injuries in the exchange of fire, he said.
A resident of the locality, Mohammad Tahir said that the Taliban showed their barbaric face by putting civilians’ houses on fire. “A 13-year old boy burnt to death in this incident,” he alleged.
He furthered that that the Taliban insurgent started beating women while they tried to prevent Taliban insurgents from burning their homes.
According to TOLONews, the Taliban insurgents killed a women and her son on Monday after they refused to provide the insurgents with food. Head of Wardak CID police, Mohamamd Ayoub confirmed the incident and said that Taliban insurgents had asked the residents in Chak district to feed them three times a day. In addition to killing the women and her son, the insurgents also torched the homes of several families who also refused to help the insurgents. The source furthered that Taliban insurgents burned civilian homes when they got negative response to their call for food and shelter.
