KABUL: At least one civilian was killed and two others were injured on Saturday after ten rockets hit various parts of Kabul city, officials said.
A Spokesman for the Ministry of Interior, Tariq Arian said that the rockets were fired from a Corolla-model vehicle from Lab Jar area in PD 4th of Kabul city on Saturday morning.
“Rockets are landed in residential areas in Howa Shenasi, Zanabad area in PD 9th and Khwaja Rawash in PD 15th, in which a civilian lost his life and two others were wounded.
Questions arose as to how these rockets launched from the same parts of Kabul twice a month. Three weeks ago, Daesh terrorists fired 23 rockets, hitting different areas of the Kabul city, in which eight civilians were killed and 31 others were injured.
“The enemy is defeated on the battlefields and has referred to soft targets as a new tactic,” Mr. Arian said.
However, some social media users, including journalists, say that after every major attack in Kabul city, the government says the enemy is defeated on the battlefield, which is not a good attempt to subdue the anger of the residents. Unfortunately, insecurity has been increased, and Kabul is now changed into a city of killings, and rockets.
But Mr. Arian assured strict response to any brutal act of the terrorists.
“The Afghan security forces had recently arrested several big and small terrorist groups, who were behind terrorist attacks in Kabul,” he added.
The Kabul terrorist attack will be investigated seriously, Mr. Arian added, saying the perpetrators would be brought to justice.
