KABUL: Fears of rabies and dangers posed by packs of stray dogs, health officials in eastern Nangarhar has culled and eliminated over 430 dogs in the province.
The campaign kicked off Environment Protection Cell of Provincial Health Directorate Run an Anti-Stray Dogs, said a statement issued by Nangarhar Press Department on Sunday.
250 stray dogs were killed in Benga, Daman and woch Tangi areas of Behsood district and 180 others in Chaparhar district of the province.
The eliminated dogs were buried by provincial municipality department, the statement added.
Awareness campaigns also launched for people in the aspect.
