AT-KABUL: The National Directorate of Security (NDS) has arrested three notorious terrorists in a crackdown in Samangan province.
In a press statement issued here on Monday, the Afghan spy agency said that its operatives have arrested three alleged terrorists who planned to carry out terror attacks in crowded areas of Aibak city, the capital of Samangan.
The detained terrorists were identified as Mullah Nazir, Zainul Abdeen and Mullah Rauzatullah.
Three explosive devices, one each AK47, hand grenade and pistol and tens of cartridges were recovered from the terrorists.
Mullah Rauzatullah planned to target the worshippers in Sarwar-e-Kayenat Mosque in the capital of Samangan, added the statement.
