AT-KABUL: The National Directorate of Security (NDS) operatives on Saturday captured two leaders of the Al Qaeda-linked Haqqani network in the southern Khost province.
NDS in its press release to media, said that two group leaders of Al Qaeda linked-network were arrested along with their four fighters in Sabari district of the province.
The two captured insurgent leaders Rahimullah and Sattar were involved in different subversive activities in the province, the statement said.
They confessed to their crimes during primary investigation, statement said, adding that the two leaders were handed over to the judiciary organs for further investigations.
Five AK-47 machine guns, 54 missiles, 20 82mm cannons with 84 boxes of light bullets were confiscated in the district, the statement concluded.
