AT-KABUL: The National Directorate of Security (NDS) foiled a major terrorist attack by arresting three would-be suicide bombers linked with Haqqani network in Kabul city, it said Wednesday.
In a statement, the NDS said: “The arrested people planned to carry out terrorist attacks in some crowded parts of the city.”
They were identified as Mozammil, Yasser and Inayat who confessed they had been sent to carry out suicide attacks in Kabul city.
The statement did not provide details where the bomber planned to carry out attacks in Kabul, but said that eight Improvised Explosive Devices, one pistol and 11 mobile phone sets were confiscated.
