AT-KABUL: The National Directorate of Security (NDS) recovered a large amount of explosive materials placed in baby powder bottles.
The NDS in a press statement said that operatives of the spy agency recovered around 384 bottles full of Potassium Chlorate. The explosive materials were recovered from a warehouse of an importer company in Shah Shaheed area of Kabul city, the statement added.
According to the press release the explosive materials belonged to Haqqani Network. “Haqqani Network had brought the materials from outside of the country to use them in terrorist attacks,” it said.
The Taliban militants mostly use potassium chlorate, the substance used in match head, in making improvised explosive devises (IEDs).
This came at a time that the Taliban militants killed three people and wounded 18 others in a suicide blast in Kabul.
