AT-KABUL: The Criminal Justice Task Forces (CJTF) on Monday said that nine drug runners including a woman were arrested in different operations last week in the country.
“Nine smugglers were apprehended by the counter-narcotics police through different crackdowns in Kabul, Farah and Nangarhar provinces,” the CJTF said in a statement.
More than three kilograms of heroin, 20 kilograms of opium, 260 kilograms hashish, 11,878 liters of alcoholic drinks, four cars and five mobile phone sets were seized from the above-mentioned smugglers’ hideouts, the statement said.
The statement mentioned that police arrested a woman along with three kilogram of heroin at the Kabul International Airport.
The statement added that after the primary investigation, the detained traffickers were handed over to the counter-narcotics tribunal for further prosecution.
