AT-KABUL: Afghan Border Police apprehended nine foreign terrorists in eastern Nangarhar province, the interior ministry said Tuesday.
“The Afghan Border Police succeeded to arrest nine foreign terrorist in an ambush on Monday in Nazyan district,” said Sediq Sediqqi, spokesman for the ministry.
He said that the terrorists were taken to Kabul for further inquiry.
Two rocket launchers, seven AK-47s, one machinegun with some ammunition were also discovered and seized from the captured terrorists, he added.
“Over 1,700 insurgents have been killed by the Afghan Border Police in the past 10 months across the country.”
