AT-KABUL: National Security Advisor, Haneef Atmar met Monday with Liu Jinsong, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Kabul, discussing regional cooperation and the peace program in Afghanistan.
Mr. Liu supported the recent ceasefire between government and Taliban militants, expressed happiness over the regional and international consensus about Afghanistan. He explained Beijing’s new policy on foreign relations, in which friendly relationships with Afghanistan has been emphasized, and was welcomed by the national security advisor.
Atmar thanked China for its help to the peace process of Afghanistan.
The two sides discussed ways of the bilateral relationships and joint struggle against terrorism in the region.
