KABUL – Special Envoy of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) for Afghanistan, Tarig Ali Bakheet, held crucial talks with Tajikistan’s Foreign Minister Sirojiddin Muhriddin in Dushanbe on Friday, underlining the urgent need for coordinated action to support the Afghan people.
During the meeting, Bakheet delivered a pivotal written message from the OIC Secretary-General to Minister Muhriddin and discussed efforts of the OIC and Tajikistan in the wake of key resolutions passed by the Council of Foreign Ministers, as stated by the OIC in a press release.
The agenda encompassed a wide range of issues, including humanitarian aid, cultural exchange, and social welfare, reflecting the shared interests between Tajikistan and the OIC.
