KABUL: Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development (MoRRD) on Wednesday said that 1006 different welfare and development projects have been implemented in 34 provinces across the country last year.
According to statement issued by Government Media and Information Center (GMIC), Minister RRD Mujeeb Rahman Karimi during accountability conference said that his ministry has implemented 1006 different schemes in 787 villages of 249 districts in 34 provinces last year.
He said three million people were benefited by implementation of these projects with creation of job opportunities to eh thousands of people in rural areas.
Pointing toward school construction by MoRRD, he said that survey and design trend of 2,647 schools started and the ministry will remain committed for constructing these schools.
Rural economic development program was started since July 2018 and 6,250 development Shura will be established in 76 districts as well as job opportunities will be created for thousands within five next years, he noted.
