AT-KABUL: The security forces are busy in launching more than 15 against the Taliban militants across the country, interior ministry said Wednesday.
“Afghan security forces launched more than 15 clearing operations in various part of the country to demolish the safe shelters of Taliban insurgents,” said Sediq Sediqqi, spokesman for the ministry.
“In the last four months, national police have participated in 925 joint operations across the country and it has been the biggest raid in compare to the last years,” he asserted.
He said that in the mentioned operations around 80 Taliban commanders were killed in differ parts of the country.
“;So far the main measure of the operations against armed militants concentrated in the provinces of Helmand, Urozgan, Zabul, Ghazni, Baghlan, Kunduz, Sar-e Pul and Nangarhar” he mentioned.
According to him in the current raids, Taliban insurgents were imposed heavy casualties.
