AT-KABUL: Ministry of Defense (MoD) on Tuesday said that over 40 Daesh fighters were killed and 44 others were wounded through operations in eastern Nangarhar province.
Daesh fighter were killed and wounded in Afghan forces’ joint raids in Bandok, Zarabandok, Janjal Ghonde, Sepa Ghonde and Bahador Baba areas of the Kot district within past 24 hours, said MoD.
Operations are going on for establishing new posts for the public uprisings in the district.
No civilian casualties were reported during the operation.
Nangarhar Provincial Spokesman confirming imposed of high casualties over Daesh fighters in Kot district, said that “40 village cleared from Daesh fighters in the district.”
Some 29 mines also discovered and confiscated in the operations, he added.
