Kabul: The Torkham border between Pakistan and Afghanistan will be closed for three days, from today (Friday) until May 19, for pedestrian movement. Despite the closure for pedestrians, the border will remain open for freight vehicles transporting goods.
Pakistani officials have stated that the reason for this closure is the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) immigration department’s relocation to a new office. Meanwhile, hundreds of people on both sides of the Torkham crossing are waiting to cross.
