Kabul: On Saturday, Pakistan conveyed condolences to the Afghan government regarding the loss of more than 300 lives in flash floods in northern Afghanistan, as stated by the Pakistani foreign office.
The heavy rains on Friday triggered flash floods in Baghlan, Takhar, and Badakhshan provinces, resulting in 300 fatalities and thousands injuries, according to the interim Afghan interior ministry.
In a statement, the Pakistani foreign office expressed heartfelt sympathy for the tragic loss of life and extensive property damage caused by the severe weather conditions in several Afghan provinces. Additionally, Pakistan affirmed its solidarity with the Afghan people during this challenging period.
