Kabul: According to the Taliban’s Ministry of Refugees, Pakistan expelled more than 300 Afghan migrants on Saturday, February 24. The ministry reported that these individuals comprised 28 families who crossed into Afghanistan via the Torkham and Spin Boldak border crossings. Pakistan has been deporting undocumented Afghan migrants since November last year, citing an estimated 1.73 million residing illegally within its borders. Following the Taliban’s assumption of power in Afghanistan, around 600,000 people fled the country due to economic and security uncertainties, seeking sanctuary in neighboring Pakistan.
