Kabul: Mohsen Davar, says that he was not allowed to fly from Islamabad to Dushanbe to participate in the Herat Security Talks.
Mohsen Dawar, a member of the Parliament of Pakistan and a senior member of the “Pashtun Tahafuz Movement” announced on Twitter today that at the Islamabad airport, officials prevented his flight to Dushanbe, Tajikistan to participate in a conference on Afghanistan.
Mr. Dawar has also published a picture of the letter from the Ministry of Interior of Pakistan, which previously gave him permission to travel for two months to participate in international conferences.
Mr Dawar, who fights for the rights of Pashtuns in Pakistan, also wrote: “Preventing an elected representative of thousands of Pashtuns from traveling to a conference for regional dialogue is a sign that in the years to come, Pashtuns will continue to be victims of the policies of the military establishment.”
This year, the annual conference “Herat Security Dialogue” is scheduled to be held on November 29-30 in Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan. These conferences are organized by the Institute of Strategic Studies of Afghanistan.
