AT-KABUL: Afghan army in a joint operation with police and National Directorate of Security (NDS) arrested a Pakistani doctor who was treating the Taliban insurgents in Nangarhar province.
Nangarhar police in a media statement issued here said the Pakistani citizen, identified as Tariq Jamal, was providing medical care to the injured militants.
According to the statement, 11 suspected militants including the Pakistani citizen were arrested the other day in Shirzad and Hersarak districts of the province during a military operation launched against the anti-Afghanistan elements.
In the operation led by the 201st Seelab Corps, nine insurgents including two Chechens were killed and 18 others injured.
