Pakistani police held 22 Afghans

AT Monitoring Desk-KABUL:  As many as 22 Afghans have been detained by police in Pakistan’s Punjab province during a campaign conducted by the government of Pakistan against undocumented refugees in the country.

According to local media outlets, the Afghan refugees were held in Kot Momin area of Sargodha district on Saturday. Four Kalashinkovs and four pistols were also recovered from the area where the Afghans were arrested, claimed Pakistani police.

It is worth mentioning that currently around 1,600,000 Afghans are living in Pakistan having legal credentials as they were legally allowed to stay until December 2015. Their documents will be renewed after the end of the year.
