AT Monitoring Desk-KABUL: A dozen Islamic State (IS) militants, which also known as Daesh terrorist, including Pakistanis, have been killed during operation in eastern Nangarhar province, an official said on Monday.
Attuallah Khogyani, the governor’s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News nine Daesh fighters were killed during an air raid by foreign forces in the Mamand Dara area of Achin district on Sunday night.
“Several weapons and ammunition belonging to Daesh were also destroyed in the overnight attack.”
Separately, three Pakistani militants were killed by the Afghan Special Force in the Chahardara area of Batikot district. The militants were involved in terrorist activities in the area, Khogyani alleged.
According to him, security and civilian have suffered no casualties in the offensive. However, Daesh terrorist group have not commented into the issue so far.
