AT-KABUL: Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) on Thursday summoned Pakistan’s ambassador to Kabul, over the cross-Durand Line attacks and indiscriminate shelling by Pakistani security forces.
In a media statement issued here, the foreign affairs ministry said that an Afghan border policeman was killed and another injured in Barmal district of Paktika province, when Pakistani paramilitary forces fired rockets on Wednesday night.
In another incident on Tuesday night, Pakistani troops opened fire on Afghan border police in the Angor Hadda locality of the district. Eight Pakistani soldiers were killed in the gunfire exchange.
According to the statement, Deputy Foreign Minister Hekmat Khalil Karzai expressed serious concerns over the incident and told the summoned ambassador that such acts of aggressions were harming the bilateral relations.
He asked Islamabad to “immediately stop” such attacks on Afghan soil.
