Police urges people to inform them if they notice any suspicious movement of insurgents
By Farhad Naibkhel-KABUL: The Ministry of Interior (MoI) on Tuesday informed of holding steps for high security alert in the cities, while Kabul and Mazar-e-Sharif were witnessing a series of bombings and terrorist attacks in the last two days.
MoI Spokesman Seddiq Seddiqi said: “Minister of Interior ordered police to step up more measures for security improvement in the cities particularly in Kabul.”
“Police will seek new ways to curb security challenges and protect people in Kabul,” Seddiqi said at a press conference.
Seddiqi said that the minister had instructed police to use all possible sources for ensuring security in the capital.
All forces including police, army and intelligence forces urged to keep coordination for further security achievement in the cities, he asserted.
He asked the people to help police in anti-terrorism combats and inform them if faced any suspicious movement of insurgents across the country.
Pointing to recent terror attacks in Kabul and Mazar-e-Sharif, seddiqi said that “still we face to international and regional terrorist threats.”
He said that terrorism has access to facilities and sanctuary in other side of the Durand line, even they set meeting in Pakistan.
