AT News Report-KABUL: A 220 kilovolt power substation was inaugurated by President Ghani in Logar province on Tuesday, according to a presidential statement.
In a trip to Logar province, President met with elders, clerics, women, youth and people’s delegations and inaugurated a meeting hall in Pul-i-Alam city.
The president admitted that security situation in Logar is tense and order authorities to concoct a robust action plan within two weeks to beef up security in the province. He vowed people to address all of their concerns.
He also spoke regarding a hastened approach to starting Kabul-Logar road. Ghani said the upcoming elections calls for a countrywide turnout of all people.
The attainment of peace is a continuous endeavor of the government, he said, and no barrier will stop it as peace is a demand of the nation.
Mohammad DaudQazizada, secretary of the ministry of Energy and Water, briefed the officials and people regarding the 220 kilovolt sub-station projects and hailed the president special attention in this regard.He thanked local people for cooperation and efforts in construction of this facility and extension of power supply.
