KABUL: Unknown gunmen have assassinated a prosecutor on Sunday morning in Kabul, a provincial capital city where insecurity and target killings have been growing on a daily basis.
The shooting occurred in the Karta-e-Naw area in PD 8th, Kabul Police said in a statement.
“The prosecutor’s name is Habibullah,” the statement said. The assassination happened on 8:30 local time.
Police have started an investigation into the incident.
No group, including the Taliban has claimed responsibility for the attack.
Kabul has become very insecure recently even rockets are being fired from inside the city. On Saturday a civilian was killed and two others were wounded after ten rockets landed in different parts of Kabul city.
