AT-KABUL: Ministry of Higher Education (MoHE) on Sunday said that reforms in the university entrance test had been outlined as top priority in the 100-day action plan.
Kankor exam or the university entrance test had been marred by accusations of interference of government officials and warlords in the past. Minster of Higher Education, Farida Mohmand, acknowledged that Kankor exams, held in the past, were shrouded by mismanagement.
“Transparency in the entrance exams will be ensured. The ministry will bring reforms in the exams because it has been underlined as top priority. A committee has been established in this regard,” she said.
She said the committee has already started work and would submit suggestions to the government in the aspect.
Fight against corruption, development of technology, better curriculum, improvement of teaching methods and education quality are key components of the 100-day plan that the minister presented to the president. The minister vowed to simplify and bring transparency in distribution process of the scholarships while emphasizing on students’ eligibility.
