Retirement law worries public varsities’ professors

AT-KABUL: A number of professors of public universities in Kabul called on ex-President Hamid Karzai at his office on Monday. The scholars expressed their concerns regarding professors’ retirement law newly introduced by the National Unity Government. They said that retirement of the professors is not in favor of Afghanistan’s higher education. They added that the move will affect quality of education.

Hamid Karzai told the guests their concerns were valid and vowed to cooperate in finding a solution to the problem.
