AT-KABUL: A politician close to the governments of the United States and Pakistan has offered the second Bonn Conference to what he says “resolve the crisis” of Afghanistan, with suggestions like a commission for joint government with Taliban, amendments in the constitution and then elections.
The Kabul News broadcaster has received a copy of the three-page offer that reads Afghanistan and the Taliban-backer states would be consulted to make contacts with the Moscow conference and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization over the US permanent presence in Afghanistan.
The offer also says the second Bonn Conference would be authorized to call a Loya Jirga, but says Taliban would oppose the Jirga and prefer an Islamic title for a council.
