AT-KABUL: Political analysts accuse the security and reconnaissance entities of neglect in Monday’s attack on an intelligence training center in Wardak province.
They say security organs should be prepared for foiling such attacks, adding that the repeated attacks show that security bodies neglect.
The interior ministry says it was investigating the attacks that Taliban claimed responsibility.
The National Directorate of Security said Tuesday that 36 of its personnel were killed and another 60 wounded.
Some other sources put the death toll as high as 126.
The attack that began with a car bomb at the center’s entrance, damaged the buildings.
The attack took place on the same day when Taliban held talks with the US officials in Qatar to discuss the peace process.
