AT-KABUL: The Ministry of Defense in a statement on Monday said that 36 insurgents were killed, 25 others injured and five suspects arrested as the result of crackdowns by Afghan National Security Forces (ANSF) in various parts of the country.
The statement said that the Afghan National Army, National police and National Directorate of Security conducted clearing operation during the past 24 hours in the districts of Nangarhar, Kabul, Uruzgan, Zabul, Kundahar, Badghis, Baghlan, Jawzjan, Faryab, Kunduz, Helmand and Balkh provinces .
“In the raids, 36 armed Taliban fighters were killed, 25 others wound and five suspects arrested by Afghan security forces and it was cooperated by the artillery and air forces” said the statement.
