AT Monitoring Desk-KABUL: At least seven militants of Islamic State, also known as Daesh terrorist group have been killed as a result of an explosion by their own explosives in the Pachiragam district of eastern Nangarhar province, an official said on Wednesday.
Attaullah Khogyani, the governor’s spokesperson, told Pajhwok Afghan News the explosion took place in the Godar area of the district on Tuesday.
He said, the rebels had stored explosive materials in the house of a civilian named Multan Khan, adding that one among the landmines plotted by the militants went off which resulted in killing of seven militants.
According to another report, security forces have destroyed a big cache of explosives in Pachiragam.
Khogyani confirmed the development made by security organs but he did not make public further details.
