KABUL: Visiting Afghanistan-A, powered by Hashmat Shaheedi, routed their Sri Lankan rivals in a One-Day cricket match in Colombo, an official said on Friday.
Farid Hotak, spokesman for the Afghan Cricket Board (ACB), said Sri Lankan won the toss and decided to bat first. They scored 239 runs in the stipulated 50 overs.
Hamza Hotak bowled out six leading Sri Lankan batsmen, he said, adding Hashmatullah Shahidi took two wickets and Farid Malak one.
Afghanistan achieved the target in 49th over, with Hashmatullah Shaheedi scoring 87 and Noor Wali 53 runs. Hashmatullah and Hamza Hotak shared the man of the match award.
Afghanistan also won two 4-Day matches against the opponents on their home turf. (PAN)
