AT Monitoring Desk-KABUL: At least six policemen were killed on Sunday after their check-post attacked by the Taliban insurgents in northeastern Kunduz province, a local official said.
Provincial Police Chief, Abdul Hamid Hamidi, said the Taliban insurgents stormed a security checkpoint in Qabristan localities of the province late Saturday night.
In addition to that seven other police officers were received injuries in the night time attack, he confirmed.
However, the Provincial Civil Hospital Director, Dr. Marzai Salam said that five dead bodies and a wounded have been brought to the hospital. “The conditions of those wounded are stable.”
This comes as the Taliban insurgents have been intensified their evil attacks in different parts of the country in these days, before the beginning of spring offensive.
