AT-KABUL: At least 16 Daesh (Islamic State) terrorists were killed in separate drone strikes in eastern Nangarhar province, local officials said Sunday.
“The operations were launched by Afghan air forces and foreign troops in Achin and Haska Mina districts,” said Ataullah Khogyani, provincial spokesman.
“Two Deash commanders Qari Abdul Wahab and Qari Hafizullah were among the killers,” he added.
The airstrikes also destroyed weapons of the group, Khogyani said, adding that no casualties to Afghan forces and civilians were reported.
Recently Afghan and foreign troops have increased their attacks against the insurgents and terrorist groups in the eastern parts of the country, killing dozens of them, according to reports.
