AT-KABUL: Kandahar police prevented a major terrorist attack in the province, said Ministry of Interior (MoI) on Wednesday.
Police in a special operation killed four and injured six of a terrorist group before they reached their intended, it said in a statement.
The statement added the terrorists were using a vehicle to carry out attack.
The vehicle was filled with explosives in the Leo valley of Ghorak district. Security forces suffered no casualties in the operation in the operation, it said.
Kandahar is one of the unsafe and volatile provinces. As the birthplace of Taliban, the province has witnessed several attacks.
