AT-KABUL: The National Directorate of Security (NDS) on Sunday foiled a major terror attack by arresting a teenage trained would-be suicide bomber in north-eastern province of Kapisa, the NDS said.
It said in a statement that its operatives detained a teenage boy assigned to attack the administrative headquarters of Tagab district.
According to the statement, the teenage bomber was identified as Nematullah, carrying a bag full of explosives.
“The detained suicide bomber confessed that he wanted to attack the district administrative headquarters,” the statement said.
According to primary interrogation, Nematullah has confessed that he was recruited by a Taliban commander named Maulavi Ataullah and was sent to Miramshah in northern Waziristan for training.
Nematullah said the trainers were adding medicines to their tea every morning in to help wash their brains and prepare them for the attack.
He said the trainees forgot everything by having the medicine and were concentrating on terrorist activities which were taught to them.
