AT-KABUL: Ministry of Interior (MoI) on Monday said that Afghan National Border Police (ANBP) strongly retaliated and repulsed Talban’s coordinate attack in south-eastern Paktika province on Sunday night.
“A group of armed Taliban insurgents launched a coordinated attack on ANBP checkpoints in Wali Was region, Giyan district of Paktika province,” the MoI said in a press statement.
According to the MoI, the Afghan National Border Police have retaliated and started firing against Taliban insurgents and repulsed their attack.
“Five armed Taliban insurgents have been killed and eight others wounded in the repel attack by the Afghan forces,” the statement added.
Statement added that ANBP and civilian have received no casualties during the attack.
