KABUL: The Afghan security forces engaged into clashes with the Taliban fighters in the eastern province of Kapisa, killing two militants and wounding some others, officials said on Saturday.
Provincial Police’s spokesman, Shayiq Shorish said that the insurgent set attacks on the military outposts in Tagab districts of the province. According to him, the attack faced a strong resistance by the Afghan security forces.
An official who wished to go unnamed said that two public uprising forces lost their lives on the combat line.
Taliban have not commented regarding it so far.
Kapisa is among in insecure provinces in the east, where Taliban are strongly active. The armed conflicts has surged between the government forces and Taliban as both sides claiming leverage on the battlefields.
