KABUL: Officials in the southeastern province of Paktia said that the Taliban have set crops on fire in the south-eastern province of Paktia.

Provincial Press Department said in a statement that the Taliban set ablaze on harvests of a farmer in Abrahim Khel area of Gardez, the provincial capital city.

The statement also said that the Taliban have planted mines on public roads and destroyed several bridges in the province.

Taliban have not commented regarding it so far.

Paktia is an insecurity province where the Taliban are strongly in its many parts and most of the times carry out deadly attacks on the security forces.
