AT-KABUL: The National Directorate of Security (NDS) said Friday that its operatives detained a Taliban commander in the central province of Wardak.
The intelligence operatives detained Taliban commander, Qari Syedullah during a special raid in the Sheikhabad area of Syedabad district of the province, the NDS said in a media statement.
The detained commander was involved in major terrorist attacks, including bombings and conducting several ambushes on Kabul-Kandahar highway, the statement said.
“Two heavy machine guns, a Kalashnikov assault rifles, a walkie-talkie and weapons were also discovered from Qari Syedullah,” the statement added.
