Kabul: A delegation led by Taliban-appointed Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi left Kabul for Tashkent to participate in an international conference on Afghanistan which is to be held Monday, the country’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson said.
Tashkent is going to host a world meeting focusing on Afghanistan starting on July 25 for three days.
Meanwhile, political analysts believe the current situation in Afghanistan could get worse if the Taliban leadership do not consider an inclusive government, saying such could also pave the way for the international community to offer formal recognition to the group.
