AT-KABUL: A man was arrested by police for supplying arms to the Taliban in Baghlan province, interior ministry said Sunday.
The ministry said that the supplier was arrested with two other armed insurgents in the Dushi district.
Separately, the ministry said that a key Taliban commander Qari Zahir who was wounded in recent days in operation conducted by Afghan security forces in Chashma Shir area of Baghlan, was also arrested.
Qari Zahir was arrested, while Taliban wanted to transfer him for treatment to Kabul, due to injury sustained in Afghan forces operation recently, statement added.
Meanwhile some reports leaked in the media said that this key Taliban figure for Baghaln was shifting in a ringer vehicle of police belonged to Wrdak province, while arrested by security forces in Dushi area of Baghlan.
