AT Monitoring Desk-KABUL: At least six Afghan Local Police (ALP) personnel were killed in a terrorist attack in Behark district of northern Badakhshan province.
The governor’s spokesman Ahmad Naveed Frotan said that the killed policemen were having dinner when the terrorist attacked them in Surkham area of Baharak district the other day. The militants also took some weapons with them.
The Taliban insurgent group has claimed that six ALP members were killed and a tank, a Ranger pick-up, five AK-47s and a machinegun were taken.
In a another incident the Taliban-designated district chief Kasham Qari Nasir was arrested including his three bodyguards by security forces, the governor’s spokesman said. Qari Nasir was involved in killing of a former district chief.
