Taliban shadow governor among 12 killed in Logar

AT-KABUL: Taliban shadow governor for Logar province was killed among 12 insurgents in the province, officials said Monday.

“12 insurgents including the shadow governor of Taliban Mawlavi Najibullah for Logar province have been killed through joint operations has been conducted in the province tonight,” provincial governor Halim Fedai said.

The killed insurgents were involved in different terrorist and subversive activities in the province, he added.

No casualties reported among Afghan forces in the incident.
