AT-KABUL: A swarm of Taliban militants attacked three checkpoints in Ghazni province the other night killing one local policeman, wounded three others.
Asadullah Ensaf, a security official in the province, confirmed the report and said that a group of Taliban insurgents, numbering 300 fighters, stormed Wada, Bakhtiar and Azad checkpoints. The militants killed one local policeman and wounded three others.
He added that security forces killed 18 militants and wounded 21 others. Ensaf said that security situation in Ghazni province has considerably improved. “The Taliban cannot fight face to face, thus, they through roadside bomb blasts express their presence in the province,” he added.
