KABUL: The Taliban government said on Saturday that overdue salaries of all government employees from past three months will be paid at once starting on Saturday.
Deputy spokesperson of Taliban’s government, Inamullah Samangani, quoting the ministry of finance tweeted, “salaries of all government employees from past three months will be paid at once from today on.”
This is as Ministry of Finance has also announced that salaries of all retired employees will be paid too.
A spokesperson for Taliban’s ministry of finance, Ahmad Wali Haqmal, says that after resolving technical problems, the process of paying the retirement pensions will start as soon as possible.
Earlier this ministry announced to pay the past three months salaries of government employees.
While after Taliban’s domination, government employees repeatedly have complained that they have not received their salaries, and the Taliban have promised to pay.
