AT-KABUL: The National Directorate of Security (NDS) on Monday said that a terror plan was thwarted in the eastern Laghman province.
Intelligence operatives arrested three terrorists, who planned to conduct suicide attacks by using a motor bike full of explosives and a magnetic bomb in Mehtarlam center of Laghman province, said a statement issued by NDS.
The captured people identified as Belal, Zekrullah, and Ferdaws, who confessed during primary investigation that they have been tasked by Taliban commander Qader to conduct subversive activity in Mehtarlam city, added the statement.
Spy agency operatives succeeded to prevent a bloody incident, which would cause killing and wounding of innocent people in Mehtaralm city, noted the statement.
